Young IT entrepreneur Jacob Hancock is the first to admit he’s not an expert on real estate.
But the 23-year-old has decided to use what he does know to earn some money and believe he’s found the way to do it.
Mr Hancock has been working for himself, but intends to return to university next year and doesn’t want to relinquish his lifestyle.
He has decided to invest in a two-bedroom $1.2 million apartment in Lumiére Residences. The George Street 56-level high-rise, a Frasers Property Group project, due to be completed next year, will have 456 apartments.
“I was drawn to the north-facing apartments because they look over the Town hall and the QVB,” he said. “You’ve got this space in the city that will never be built up so we will always have those views.”
